DIS-FESTIVAL gathers disabled, Deaf and chronically ill artists and presents their unique work created for museum and gallery spaces or adapted to such spaces.
The program of the festival critically reflects on ableism in capitalist society, examines the political potential of care and rest, and questions the way in which attitudes and beliefs about diversity are formed.
The festival is part of long and continuous work of the Per.Art organization on developing and maintaining a culture of solidarity and accessible environment in dance.
The program took place in exhibition spaces of the Gallery of Matica srpska accessible to wheelchair users. All events were interpreted into Serbian spoken and sign languages.
